Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994. 5  Schedules   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms. 6  Purpose   This instrument is made for the purposes of item 1236 of Schedule 1 to the Regulations. This instrument specifies arrangements for a person making an application for a Visitor (Class FA) visa. Part 2 – Making a Visitor (Class FA) visa application 7  Outline of this Part  (1) The arrangements for making a Visitor (Class FA) visa application are specified for each stream of the Subclass 600 (Visitor) visa in relation to which an applicant is seeking to satisfy the primary criteria. These arrangements are specified in sections 8 to 12 and Schedules 1 to 8. 8  Making an application in the Tourist stream  (1) This section applies to an applicant seeking to satisfy the primary criteria for a Subclass 600 (Visitor) visa in the Tourist stream.  (2) For subitem 1236(1) and item 1 of the table in subitem 1236(3) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, for each kind of applicant described in Column A of the table in Schedule 1 to this instrument:  (a) the approved form is specified in the corresponding row in Column B; and  (b) the place and manner for making an application is specified in the corresponding row in Column C. 9  Making an application in the Sponsored Family stream  (1) This section applies to an applicant seeking to satisfy the primary criteria for a Subclass 600 (Visitor) visa in the Sponsored Family stream.  (2) For subitem 1236(1) and item 1 of the table in subitem 1236(4) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, for each kind of applicant described in Column A of the table in Schedule 2 to this instrument:  (a) the approved form is specified in the corresponding row in Column B; and  (b) the place and manner for making an application is specified in the corresponding row in Column C. 10  Making an application in the Business Visitor stream  (1) This section applies to an applicant seeking to satisfy the primary criteria for a Subclass 600 (Visitor) visa in the Business Visitor stream.  (2) For subitem 1236(1) and item 1 of the table in subitem 1236(5) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, for each kind of applicant described in Column A of the table in Schedule 3 to this instrument:  (a) the approved form is specified in the corresponding row in Column B; and  (b) the place and manner for making an application is specified in the corresponding row in Column C. 11  Making an application in the Approved Destination Status stream  (1) This section applies to an applicant seeking to satisfy the primary criteria for a Subclass 600 (Visitor) visa in the Approved Destination Status stream.  (2) For subitem 1236(1) and item 4 of the table in subitem 1236(6) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, for each kind of applicant described in Column A of the table in Schedule 4 to this instrument:  (a) the approved form is specified in the corresponding row in Column B; and  (b) the place and manner for making an application is specified in the corresponding row in Column C.  (3) For item 3 of the table in subitem 1236(6) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, the travel agents in Schedule 5 to this Instrument are specified. 12  Making an application in the Frequent Traveller stream  (1) This section applies to an applicant seeking to satisfy the primary criteria for a Subclass 600 (Visitor) visa in the Frequent Traveller stream.  (2) For subitem 1236(1) and item 1 of the table in subitem 1236(6A) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, for each kind of applicant described in Column A of the table in Schedule 6 to this instrument:  (a) the approved form is specified in the corresponding row in Column B; and  (b) the place and manner for making an application is specified in the corresponding row in Column C.  (3) For paragraph (b) of item 2 of the table in subitem 1236(6A) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, the People’s Republic of China is a specified place.  (4) For item 3 of the table in subitem 1236(6A) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, the applicant must hold a valid passport of the People’s Republic of China, indicating that the applicant is a national of the People’s Republic of China.
