1  Name
  This instrument is the Migration (Arrangements for Visitor (Class FA) visa applications) Amendment (LIN 24/084) Instrument 2024.
2  Commencement
  This instrument commences on 7 December 2024.
3  Authority
  This instrument is made under subregulation 2.07(5) of the Migration Regulations 1994 for the purposes of subitem 1236(6A) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations.
4  Schedules
  Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
Migration (Arrangements for Visitor (Class FA) visa applications) Instrument (LIN 21/056) 2021
1  Section 3
Insert:
Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994.
2  Subsections 9(2) and (3)
Repeal the subsections and substitute:
 (2) For item 3 of the table in subitem 1236(6A) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, the applicant must hold a valid passport of any of the following countries:
 (a) Brunei Darussalam;
 (b) Cambodia;
 (c) Indonesia;
 (d) Lao People’s Democratic Republic;
 (e) Malaysia;
 (f) The People’s Republic of China;
 (g) The Philippines;
 (h) Singapore;
 (i) Thailand;
 (j) Timor-Leste;
 (k) Viet Nam;
  where the passport indicates that the applicant is a national of that country.
