I, DEIRDRE RUSSACK, Assistant Secretary (a/g), Education and Tourism Branch, Department of Immigration and Citizenship, acting under paragraphs 1205(3)(ba), 1205(3)(ca) and 1220B(3)(b) of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):

1. REVOKE Instrument IMMI 08/101, signed on 19 November 2008 specifying addresses for the purposes of subparagraphs 1205(3)(ba)(i), (ii), and (iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; AND

2. REVOKE Gazette Notice GN26 signed on 17 June 2004 (FRLI reference F2005B02591), specifying addresses for the purposes of subparagraphs 1205(3)(ba)(i), (ii), and (iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; AND

3. SPECIFY the following for the purposes of paragraph 1205(3)(ba) relating to an applicant who seeks to satisfy the criteria for the grant of a Subclass 416 (Special Program) visa:

[NOTE 1: Paragraph 1205(3)(ba) of the Regulations provides that an application by a person seeking to meet the criteria for the grant of a Subclass 416 (Special Program) visa must be made by posting the application (with the correct pre-paid postage) to the post office box address specified in an instrument in writing for subparagraph 1205(3)(ba)(i), having the application delivered by a courier service or by hand to the address specified in an instrument in writing for subparagraph 1205(3)(ba)(ii), or having the application sent by facsimile to the address specified in an instrument in writing for subparagraph 1205(3)(ba)(iii).

NOTE 2: Paragraph 1205(3)(ca) of the Regulations provides that an application by a person seeking to meet the criteria for the grant of a Subclass 420 (Entertainment) visa must be made by posting the application (with the correct pre-paid postage) to the post office box address specified in an instrument in writing for subparagraph 1205(3)(ca)(i), having the application delivered by a courier service or by hand to the address specified in an instrument in writing for subparagraph 1205(3)(ca)(ii), or having the application sent by fax to the address specified in an instrument in writing for subparagraph 1205(3)(ca)(iii).

NOTE 3: Paragraph 1220B(3)(b) of the Regulations provides that an application by a person seeking to meet the criteria for the grant of a Subclass 470 (Professional Development) visa must be made by posting the application (with the correct pre-paid postage) to the post office box address specified in a Gazette Notice for subparagraph 1220B(3)(b)(i), having the application delivered by a courier service to the address specified in a Gazette Notice for subparagraph 1220B(3)(b)(ii), or having the application sent by facsimile to the address specified in a Gazette Notice for subparagraph 1220B(3)(b)(iii).]
