Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the AgentCom Migration Resources website and the AgentCom migration-law MCP server. By using either, you accept them.

The service

AgentCom Migration Resources is a free reference service that reproduces Australian migration and citizenship law — including the Migration Act 1958, the Migration Regulations 1994, around 1,000 legislative instruments and Ministerial Directions, and the Australian Citizenship Act 2007 — sourced from the Australian Federal Register of Legislation. The MCP server exposes the same corpus to AI clients through read-only search and retrieval tools.

The service is an unofficial reproduction provided for general information only. It is not legal advice, migration advice, or a substitute for advice about your circumstances. For advice, consult a migration agent registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) or a qualified lawyer. The authoritative, legally binding text is always the one published on the Federal Register of Legislation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it by means other than the published interfaces;
  • exceed reasonable request volumes or attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls;
  • share, sell, or transfer your API key, or use another person's credentials;
  • misrepresent the service as an official government publication, or remove citations and attribution from content you reuse;
  • use the service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or revoke access — including API keys and OAuth connections — where these terms are breached.

Availability

The service is provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, response times, or continuity, and no service level agreement applies. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the service at any time. Legislative content is updated periodically; always check the in-force date shown on each page against the Federal Register of Legislation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage — direct or indirect, including loss of data, revenue, or opportunity, and including any consequence of decisions made in reliance on the service — arising from or connected with your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page; continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
