EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

(Clause 485.231)

I, BRENDAN O’CONNOR, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under clause 485.231 of the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’) SPECIFY for the purposes of subclause 485.231(2) of the Regulations that Australian universities and non-university education providers are eligible educational institutions if they are registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students and offer courses at degree level and above.

This Instrument, IMMI 13/031, commences on 23 March 2013, immediately after the commencement of Migration Legislation Amendment Regulation 2013 (No. 1).
