Part 1— Preliminary

1  Name

1.            This instrument is the Migration (Industry Associations and Membership Levels) Instrument (LIN 20/061) 2020.
2.            This instrument may be cited as LIN 20/061.

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislation.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under paragraphs 132.232(3)(a) and (b) of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

4  Definitions

In this instrument:

Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994.

5  Repeals

In accordance with subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, the instrument IMMI 12/052, Industry Associations and Membership Levels (F2012L01309), is repealed.

Part 2—Industry associations and membership levels

6  Australian Investment Council Limited

(1) For the purposes of paragraph 132.232(3)(a) of Schedule 2 to the Regulations, the Australian Investment Council Limited is specified as an industry association.

(2) For the purposes of paragraph 132.232(3)(b) of Schedule 2 to the Regulations, the category of membership of the industry association mentioned in subsection (1) is specified as:

 (a) Corporate Venture Capital Membership; or

 (b) Venture Capital Fund Manager Membership.
